From the box to the playroom
Our Montessori toys
Made for little hands, loved by big ones
Safe by design
Age-appropriate, with small parts flagged, and built to be handled by children.
Learning that sticks
Hands-on play that teaches without feeling like a lesson.
Screen-free fun
Real objects, real imagination, no glowing rectangle in sight.
What makes a toy Montessori?
Not a label on the box. A way of letting children do things for themselves, with objects that make sense in their hands.
Real materials
Wood, felt, cotton and metal fastenings: objects with weight and texture, not a glossy picture of one.
One clear job
Fit the letter in its slot, catch the fish, close the buckle. One task at a time, so they can finish it.
They see when it's right
A piece only goes one way, the domino run falls or it doesn't. No adult needed to say well done.
Their pace, their age
A toy chosen for what they can do now, then the next one when they are ready for it.

A toy earns its place by giving them something real to do
Opti Montessori is a small shop with one rule: every toy has to give a child a real job for their hands, and let them get there on their own. No endless catalogue, just a short list we would put in our own playroom.
We write product pages the way parents actually shop:
- The suggested age, not the widest range a label allows
- The real size, in inches and centimeters
- What's in the box, and how to play with it
- Small parts, magnets and cords flagged when a toy has them
Montessori toys by age: what fits, from birth to 14
What a child can do with their hands at each stage, and the kind of toy that matches it. A practical read before you choose.
Montessori toys: your questions, answered
What makes a toy Montessori?
A Montessori toy gives a child one clear thing to do with their hands, uses real materials where it can, and lets them see for themselves when they got it right. Think of a puzzle where each piece has one slot, or a fishing game where the magnet does the catching. It follows the child's pace instead of lighting up or talking for them.
What age are your Montessori toys for?
Our range runs from crib mobiles for newborns to a 3D pen for 6 to 14 year olds. Product pages show the suggested age, and you can shop by age: 0 to 12 months, 1 year olds and 3 year olds.
Are the toys safe for young children?
Each product page lists the suggested age and flags small parts, magnets or cords when a toy has them, along with the supervision it needs. When a page says to keep an adult nearby, please do: it is written for a reason.
Do the toys need batteries?
Most of them don't. The few that do say so on their page: the digital microscope and the 3D pen are rechargeable, and the learning watch runs on a quartz movement.
How do shipping and returns work?
